“Change E-mail Address” Function Added

Friday, January 22nd, 2010 | Posted in Site news | 2 Comments »

Just recently, I have had a number of request in my support inbox from various SubmitterBot users that have wanted to change/update the e-mail address for their account. With this in mind, I have successfully added a Change E-mail Address feature to the My Account section when a user is logged in.

New Feature: You Now Can ‘Delete’

Monday, August 17th, 2009 | Posted in Site news | 4 Comments »

I would like to announce a new feature that has been added to SubmitterBot. Recently, I have had various support inquiries asking how to delete the business websites and articles that they do not want to submit anymore, and I have manually deleted them on my end. With this in mind, there is now a feature in place where you (the user) can remove the content associated with your account.

If you want to delete a URL and/or an article that you do not want to have included in SubmitterBot, you may now “Delete” them at the locations listed below.

    Web/Niche URLs:

  1. Click on the My URLs link, located under My Account on the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the Delete button that is located under the Edit column of the website that you do not want to submit anymore.
    Articles:

  1. Click on the Add Articles link under the Article Submission section on the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the Edit link under the Action column beside the article that you are wanting to remove. This will bring up the article editor.
  3. Click on the Delete Article button that is next to the Update Article button to remove the article that you do not want to submit anymore.

PLEASE NOTE: Once you have clicked delete on either the URL or the article that you want to remove, this cannot be undone, so please make sure, prior to deleting the article, that you want it fully removed from SubmitterBot.

If you have any questions regarding this new feature, please let me know via SubmitterBot’s contact form. I would be glad to answer any questions that you may have.

Happy Submitting! :)

Web/Niche Directory Submission Guidelines

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 | Posted in Directories, Site news | 3 Comments »

There have been a lot of directory submissions that have been sent in as of late, and a small minority of these directories have been good directories, but do not fit SubmitterBot‘s directory submission guidelines (which will now be posted on our directory suggestion form). Prior to submission of your directory to us, please make sure that your directory meets the following three guidelines:

  • Is it free? Is your directory a free listing directory, or do you have a free option on your directory’s submission page? SubmitterBot is a completely free service, and to help keep the process of submission free is to include free directories when users are submitting their sites.
  • Does it have a submit.php file? For SubmitterBot to fully recognize your directory in our submission list, your directory must have a submit.php file where users can submit their URL, description, e-mail, etc. If you have a CAPTCHA located on your submit.php file, make sure the CAPTCHA’s data information is stored in a captcha.php. If the directory that you are submitting is made by a CMS (e.g. phpLD), you will not have to worry about this, but it is something to good to check!
  • No adult-related categories – To keep SubmitterBot B2B and family safe, please make sure that the directory you submit does not have any adult/sex-related categories. This helps keep our quality service clean and safe for everyone.

SubmitterBot’s Social Bookmarking Needs Your Help!

Monday, March 2nd, 2009 | Posted in Directories, Site news | 12 Comments »

SubmitterBot has various ways to help publicize your business’ website(s) around the web via our web/niche directories, our article directories, and also our social bookmarking directories. Social bookmarking acts as a voting system where users can submit their site, and for it to appear higher in the social bookmarking site’s listings, other users must vote on it. The higher the vote tally, the higher in the listings it will appear.

This past week, I have removed all of the erroneous and non-functional social bookmarking directories from our submission list, as requested by various users. With the amount of erroneous social bookmarking sites that there were, since most of them have changed to either paid social bookmarking sites, or have had their domains expire, I was only left with 8 successful submitting sites. This is where you come in. …

I would love to see SubmitterBot‘s social bookmarking list grow again. If you are the owner of a
social bookmarking website and would like to see your site included in our submission list, I definitely suggest filling out our suggest a free directory form to have your social bookmarking site reviewed for inclusion.

Happy Submitting!

Erroneous Directories Removed

Monday, February 9th, 2009 | Posted in Site news | 2 Comments »

A few SubmitterBot users have contacted me this week regarding some directories in our submission list that have returned the error of “Please select pricing option.” This error will appear for directories that have been entered into our system as free directories but have recently switched over to paid directories. SubmitterBot does not include paid directories, because all directories that are included in our service are completely free of charge, and submitting your site to the various 480+ directories that SubmitterBot has to offer is of no cost to you.

If any of you continue to see any erroneous directories within our submission list, please let me know immediately via our contact page, and I will promptly remove it from our list.

Also, if you are the directory owner of a free web/niche, article, or social bookmarking directory, and would like to see your directory included in our submission, please feel free to suggest a directory to us for prompt review.

Happy Submitting! :)

Why SubmitterBot Is Better Than the Rest!

Monday, January 19th, 2009 | Posted in Site news | 9 Comments »

Recently, I have been receiving some questions in my Inbox asking me how SubmitterBot differs from other submission services and also how it is better. In case you were wondering the same thing, I have listed below some unique features of our service that make it spectacular.

  • It’s Free! That’s right. SubmitterBot is completely paid for by advertising, so submitting your business’ website(s) to the various 480+ directories does not cost you a penny. This also includes submitting articles and submitting sites to social bookmarks.
  • You Get To Choose! When submitting your site or article, you get to choose the directory that you would like your site or article submitted to. This is a plus, because most submission services out there do not let you know where your site is getting published. When browsing through the directory list, you may also choose the category on the specific directory that you want to submit to, and if you don’t favor a particular directory, you may skip it using the “Skip” button.
  • Helps Boost PageRank! Publishing your business’ website(s) to various directories and increasing the amount of backlinks aids in boosting your visibility in search engines, like Google and Yahoo. SubmitterBot will help you accomplish this by including your site in these directories. This is a plus for getting your business noticed and improving clientele.

If you have any questions regarding SubmitterBot, please feel free to ask me either via our contact form or by posting your inquiry on the iEntry Directory Portal Forum under the SubmitterBot category. I would be glad to answer any questions that you may have regarding our amazing service.

Over these past few holiday weeks, I have received a substancial amount of feedback with regarding SubmitterBot‘s article directories section and the various erroneous article directories that have been listed there. With this in mind, I have personally checked each article directory to verify that the submission process is successful and have removed the directories where the submission process was unsuccessful. This is has been done to make our service more convenient for you, and on behalf of iEntry, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by these erroneous directories.

What Is Article Submission?

How Do I Submit My Articles?

That’s easy! Just click on the add articles link located under the Article Submission section on the left-hand column.
